Now It’s Overhead’s strength lies in its ability to evoke a mood within the first thirty seconds of listening to Dark Light Daybreak. Dreamy, ethereal and melancholic throughout, Now It’s Overhead manages to capture the listener’s attention without becoming a caricature of the genre. Dark Light Daybreak features strong bass and drum lines, coupled with lush guitars and emotional vocals. Standouts include “Walls, “Night Vision, and “Dark Light Daybreak, each featuring strong lyrics as well as clearly accomplished musicianship.
