This is my favorite song of the year, period. The beginning sounds like a swarm of robotic crickets climbing into your pants; the rest of it sounds like an army of disgruntled elves on a death crusade. It's pure, unadulterated genius. I have no choice but to get up and freak out whenever I hear it.

It puts into words the general malaise I feel about the increase of information and decline of intelligence of the public. And it's a pretty song. Hopeful, too.

Of any song I've ever heard, this one I could listen to at any time and not be sick of it.
THE NOTORIOUS B.I.G. - NOTORIOUS THUGS
If it's a mix CD, then you're going to listen to it in your car, and so you need an introspective rap song with a sick beat.

One of the simplest and best melodies I've ever heard, and my favorite song off Loveless. If I ever come up with a melody half this inspiring, I'll die happy.
RADIOHEAD - WORRYWART
It's a positive song, at least for radiohead. Definitley my favorite of all their b-sides.

Feist + six electric guitars = goodness. I dance around like a little kid watching sesame street whenever this comes on.
