What was your first musical memory?
Playing guitar along to television show soundtracks when I was a little kid.

What was the first album you owned?
Let There Be Drums by Sandy Nelson.

If you were not a musician, what would your profession be?
Nowadays, since we have computers, I'd like have been an architect. Otherwise I can't draw a straight line, even with a ruler.

What song do you wish you had written?
“Take Me Out To The Ball Game.� Everybody loves that tune.

What was the first concert you attended?
A performance of Barber of Seville. My dad was in it. I walked out on stage when I was three years old.

What would your ultimate three band, live performance line-up be?
The original Jeff Beck Group, Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Beatles.

What instrument would you like to play that you currently cannot?
The zither! There's none that I'm too jealous about.

With whom would you like to collaborate?
Linda Perry. Actually, we just did a song with Linda on our new album Rockford.

Which one of your songs would you put in a time capsule?
The next Cheap Trick song we write.

What album can you not live without?
My kids' photo album!

Who was your first pop star romantic crush/fantasy?
Mmmmmm, definitely not Cher!
