LEIGH NASH

What is your first musical memory?
Listening to "Nobody" by Sylvia on the radio...you know it goes..."your nobody called today, she hung up when I asked her name, well I wonder, does she think she's being clever?" Awesome.

What was the first album you owned?
Sadly, Barry Manilow's 3AM at the Paradise Cafe, actually can't remember if it was 2AM or 3AM. It was late.

Were you not a musician, what would your profession be?
Probably a cobbler.

What song do you wish you had written, and why?
"You Were Always on My Mind"...if I'd written that, I'd be Willie Nelson and I'd have written some of the most beautiful songs ever. I love him and I'd love to be him or even just be beside him.

What was the first concert you attended?
Alan Jackson...I'm from New Braunfels, Texas. There weren't a lot of options. But I still like Alan Jackson.

Who would be in your ultimate three-band, live performance lineup, dead or alive?
Willie Nelson, George Jones, and me.

What instrument would you like to play, that you currently cannot?
Piano.

With whom would you like to collaborate?
Willie Nelson and/or Leonard Cohen

Which one of your songs would you put in a time capsule? “Nervous in the Light of Dawn.

What album can you not live without?
Robert Post.

What was your first pop star romantic crush/fantasy?
All of Menudo...and of course Donny Wahlburg of New Kids on the Block.

LEIGH NASH's Blue on Blue is released August 15, 2006
on Nettwerk/One Son Records.
