JB DUNCKEL

What is your first musical memory?
Trying to learn the notes with my mother on the beach, in the summertime.

What was the first album you owned?
A record from Pierre Perret, a French mainstream singer who made songs for children. My favorite song was called "le zizi." I don't dare to tell you what it's about.

Were you not a musician, what would your profession be?
Doctor, but I guess I am not that clever. So a doctor’s assistant. Finally the same job that I am doing now. I am curing people. Soul damages are so inspiring.

What song do you wish you had written?
"Girl from Ipanema" sung by Astrud Gilberto. For being immortal and then dying.

What was the first concert you attended?
Iggy pop for his Blah Blah tour. I am not talking about classical music concerts. It doesn't sound the same.

Who would be in your ultimate three-band, live performance lineup, dead or alive?
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
James Brown

What instrument would you like to play, that you currently cannot?
Saxophone.

With whom would you like to collaborate?
Albert Einstein.

Which one of your songs would you put in a time capsule?
“Caramel Prisoner.

What album can you not live without?
Some people are able to live without listening any kind of music. I guess I could not live without listening to Transformer from Lou Reed.

Who was your first pop star romantic crush/fantasy?
A band in my neighborhood. They were very well known in my college but they were actually copying other English bands. But I loved them.
